Facebook is getting Wiser. I mean you can not trick Facebook like you used to before. First, it started by reducing the Facebook group and page post reachability and now it want to start demoting spammy posts targeted at getting undeserved engagements.
Spammy posts are posts that gets users into interacting with likes, shares, comments, tags etc. For example, “LIKE this if you’re a slay queen!” This tactic, known as “engagement bait,” seeks to take advantage of FB News Feed algorithm by boosting engagement in order to get greater reach.
Some facebook users values LIKES & COMMENTS more than their life hence they apply any possible trick in order to get this. Some babes even go to the extent of uploading semi nude pics to get more LIKES and COMMENTS from people especially the male folks.
So, starting from this week, Facebook will start demoting individual posts from people and Pages that use engagement bait.
At the moment, Facebook is giving a warning period to publisher’s time to adapt and stop their engagement baiting techniques before rolling out the changes.
Pages, groups or profiles that ignores this warning and continue with the trickish method will see their posts reach reduced drastically.
HOW IT WORKS
For Facebook to reduce the reach of your posts, it will demote it, sometimes, the post will be hidden from the eyes of people on Facebook. So when FB hide you posts, less people will see it on their news feed and you won't get much comments, likes, shares and tags on that particular posts.
How do you see this move?
Facebook Will Hide Your Post if You Do This...
