This post covers all Airtel data bonus, the price and the activation codes in Nigeria. As claimed, Airtel is the “Smartphone network” hence they provide series of data plans suitable for any type of customer in the country.
But to add more spice to the available data bundles, Airtel NG introduced 100% double data bonus for each of the monthly plans. This means that you get more data value for your money when you activate a certain plan. I have been using this Airtel bonus for a long time now.
I mean the N1500 for 6GB data bonus. It’s actually a blackberry plan that works on Android also. As a matter of fact, this has been my favorite data plan since 2017 and its still working in 2018. Keep reading as I will explain it more later on this post. Meanwhile, there cheaper bundles you can also get for as low as N500. For example, with 500 naira you can get 1.5GB of data which has a duration of one week, also with 1000 naira you get 3GBinstead of the usual 1.5GB for one month and many more similar bonuses.
NOTE: This offer is not available for all Airtel SIM meaning that it’s meant for eligible SIM cards. To check if your SIM is eligible, dial any of the codes for activating a particular plan when you don’t have airtime
If it says your airtime is insufficient then you are eligible but if it says otherwise, your SIM is not eligible but you can get another SIM if you are desperate. Also according to Airtel, this offer lasts for a period of 6 months.
I mean if you start enjoying the bonus, you will continue enjoying it till the next 6 months until it stops and you start getting the regular data volume. But I have been using mine for over 8 months now and I am still getting the bonus each time I subscribe for data with the code.
All Airtel Double Data Bonus and Activation Codes

- Airtel N1000 for 3GB
On a regular recharge, you get 3GB for N1000 on airtel but with the data bonus in place, you get amazing 3GB for same N1000 to last for one month. Isn’t this interesting? It reminds me of the airtel N1k for 3GB blackberry plan plan. But this one works on Android devices.
Simply dial *144#, you will see the available options as seen in the screenshot. After that select 1,2, or 3 depending on the one that correspond with the 3GB/Monthly for N1000.
- Airtel N1500 for 6GB Plan

To activate it, dial *440*161# but if you didn’t get the bonus data, you may need to tweak your imei to that of a BB device. You can read more about it here.
- Airtel N2000 for 7GB
With 2K or 2000 Naira one can be entitled to get 3GB of data but with this promo or offer its Now 7GB plus bonus data.
To activate this offer, simply dial *144#,you will see the available options as shown in the screenshot below. After that select 1,2, or 3 depending on the one that correspond with the 7GB/Monthly for N2000. From the options you will select 4 for 7GB with N2000. That’s all the available Airtel data bonus plans for Android devices. I hope this helps you in the long run.
