How To Validate, Update and Link Your BVN To Your Bank Account

There’s a new, faster and better way to link your bank account with your BVN without direct visit to banking hall.
The Bank Verification Number commonly called BVN is a biometric identification system
implemented by the Central Bank of Nigeria to curb or reduce illegal banking transactions in
Nigeria. It is a modern security measure in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria Act 1958 to
reduce fraud in the banking system.

So it's mandatory that you have a BVN account if
you want to open a bank account or perform
transactions in Nigeria. You are required to have
a unique BVN Number which must be linked to
all your bank accounts to avoid restrictions or
similar scenerios.

However, some Nigerians are not yet aware that
linking, validating and updating BVN can be
simply done at the comfort of their room, office
or working place. Follow below steps to achieve
this without wasting time.

dial *565*2# from your MTN line
✔️ To validate your BVN at anytime, just dial
*565*1#
✔️ To check your BVN at anytime, dial
*565*0# .

from your SIM once you perform any of the tasks
